The Lumineers celebrated the release of their new album, Automatic, with a special iHeartRadio Album Release Party on Wednesday (February 26) night featuring an exclusive Q&A with ALT Radio's very own Booker & Stryker.
The "Sleep on the Floor" hitmakers took the stage to perform a few career-spanning hits, including "Ophelia," featured on 2016's Cleopatra, and "Stubborn Love" and "Ho Hey," featured on 2012's The Lumineers, in addition to 2025's "Same Old Song," from their newest record, live for the first time.
Other tracks featured on the band's fifth studio album include title track "Automatic," "Ativan," "Sunflowers," "Asshole," "You're All I Got," "Keys on the Table," "So Long," "Strings," "Plasticine," and "Better Days."
Frontman Wesley Schultz expressed how much the album, showcasing their usual folk-infused ballads with a hint of surrealism, meant to him, and zoomed in on the storyline. Upon announcing the record earlier this year, Shultz shined a bright spotlight on co-founder Jeremiah Fraites, claiming that the project not only celebrated "some of the absurdities of the modern world, like the increasingly blurry line between what’s real and what’s not, and the variety of ways we numb ourselves while trying to combat both boredom and overstimulation," but encompassed 20 years of songwriting together!
Wednesday was a huge day for The Lumineers as they kicked off the release of their latest album with iHeartRadio, shared the official music video for the title track, and announced a second show at the Kia Forum on August 8th for "The Automatic" World Tour, per ALT987FM.
