Exciting times! Incubus has confirmed a new album and we'll be getting it later this year! They are aiming for an October release. This will be Incubus' first new album since 2017!

Brandon Boyd decided to reveal the new album with a German publication called "FluxFM", where he detailed the new album's process including why he's hesitant to release a new Incubus album.

He said the album was finished a little over 2 months ago, it's mastered and mixed and ready to go, they're now just working on the artwork. He also mentioned that the work not his new album "happened really fest, which is always a good sign for us"...

"The sad part about finishing the album in this day and age is that, as much as I would like to just put it out; I would love to put it out tomorrow, and we could put it out tomorrow, but it would get just lost in the shuffle of the internet."
"Even with all of the setup that we’re gonna do, it most likely will still get lost in the internet," Boyd continued, laughing. "Because it’s the internet."
He compared "putting out an album onto the internet in this day and age to introducing a new star in the sky."
"You know, we like sent something into the universe. So personally, I think it’s a really great record, and I’m really proud of it, and all of us in the band are really proud of it. We had a wonderful time recording it," he said.

Boyd noted that working on this new album "happened really fast," "which is always a good sign for us, When an album comes together, like quickly, it means that we have gotten into a flow state of sorts."
