HAPPY DECEMBER FIRST, 2022! Best news to come out of today: The War On Drugs announce the return of "A Drugcember To Remember" Dec. 19-21st at Johnny Brenda's. They are going to tear the roof off of that place. All proceeds benefitting The School District Of Philadelphia. TWOD haven't been able to do this for 2 years because of the pandemic, and this is for sure going to be a legendary Philly throw down, all for an incredible cause.
Adam and his bandmates lived right around the corner, about a block away from Johnny Brenda's for almost 15 years before they took off and became a worldwide success. During this interview, Adam Granduciel said Johnny Brenda's is just where they'd go after band practice, all their friends worked there, it was the place where they always hung out- and they were actually the first band to play on the stage there once that second floor opened...so Johnny Brenda's was a no-brainer for them.
