Lorde Has Gone Viral For Shushing People During Her Concerts
Lorde wants you to shut up - at least during one specific song - at her concerts. Resurfaced videos have popped up from the last few years of the singer/songwriter actually shushing fans during her rendition of "Writer In The Dark." When it's performed live, she makes it clear she wants fans to stop singing along. Reaction has been split; some say if they pay for a ticket to a show they can sing as loudly as they want while others say they also paid for a ticket -- and want to hear the artist perform, not the drunk person next to them. Either way, TikTok users are now having a field day in meme-ing her during the song: the stop sign, finger to the lips, and the big shush. Multiple videos have surfaced of Lorde signalling for her audience to shut the hell up during her live performances.
