Dave Matthews Band releases statement Boyd Tinsley no Longer in Band

I woke up this morning hoping everything I read yesterday in Consequence of Sound involving Boyd Tinsley was a bad dream. I love BT. I think he has / could have been dealing with mental health issues/ drugs for a long time, and mix all those things together, the brain will do some crazy stuff. Stuff that none of us fans were even aware of. While there is no excuse for sexual misconduct, it is also not yet 100% proven the details of this accusation are even true or not, so we'll have to see how this settles. .. I hope he gets the help he needs.

As a result, a rep for the Dave Matthews Band offered a statement to Billboard that seemed to indicate they completely severed ties with Tinsley."Though Boyd is no longer a member of the band," reads the statement, "we are shocked by these disturbing allegations and we were not previously aware of them."

The tour will still go on this summer, obviously Boyd Tinsley will not be joining. And at this point, it seems like now he may never rejoin the band. I don't know what to say. This is some devastating news. My favorite DMB website AntsMarching.org has reached out tot he band for comment, and I'm sure we'll have more details soon.
