NJ Police rescue dog from icy/frozen pond

This is local and a feel good story, and I hope it lifts you up because there's wayyyy too much crap in this world that can bring you down. I love dogs so much and definitely take the time to stop and thank the first responders in this world who are there for us when we need them the most.

In Hopewell Township, NJ last night, Nisel the dog fell through the ice in a pond in Mercer County. The owner called police Friday right after it happened.

Officer Robert Voorhees volunteered to be fastened to a rope and crawled out to Nisel. He grabbed her collar, then other first responders pulled the officer and the dog to safety.Police say Nisel and her owner were happily reunited.
