You might remember the name Desoto Jones. They were a Philly area band, who actually played the very FIRST Radio1045 "Totally Free Concert" back in 2008..now we call those concerts "Summer Block Parties".
The band called it quits, restaffed a bit and came out as the band Kiska with all new music...but recently their ex-drummer and childhood friend Adam Francois (who played drums in Desoto Jones for many years and played on the new Kiska record) is battling cancer and currently undergoing chemotherapy.
The band has decided in light of that news and in hopes that people might want to hear those retired Desoto Jones songs agian that they'd put on a show as Desoto Jones and donate all proceeds to Adam and his wife Tracey.
The show is at Milkboy on June 30,
$12 for advance tix, $15 at the door (advance tix recommended),
starts at 8:30 and it will be Desoto Jones
Sleep In., Bright and Early (also reuniting for the show), and Keeper.
Again, all proceeds from the door (after venue fees of course) and merch sales/other donations will go to Adam and Tracey.
