Bryce Harper Gets Hit in the Face by a 97 mph fastball

It was a scary scene in St. Louis last night as Phillies star player Bryce Harper got hit in the face during a 97 mph fastball pitch.

Cardinals Pitcher Génesis Cabrera hit Bryce Harper in the face and THEN hit Didi Gregorius in the ribs with his first two pitches.

Both the Phillies and Cardinals benches were warned, Phillies manager Joe Girardi got ejected, yelling "throw the ball over the f**king plate!" on his way out. After that, Cardinals manager Mike Shildt yelled back at Girardi, however it is unknown what was said.

After the game, analysts for NBC Sports Philadelphia John Kruk and Ricky Bottalico (bother former players) discussed possible retaliation from the Phillies in the final game of the series today.

Don't worry though...Bryce hit Twitter after the game to let everyone know he is ok!

"Face is still there. We're all good." Harper said.

The Phillies ended up getting the last laugh as they beat the Cardinals 5-3.
