Hanson covers Weezer in their Listener's Choice Livestream Concert

When you think of the band Hanson, you don't normally think of Weezer too.

In a special Listener's Choice all request live stream concert, the "MMM Bop" superstars covered the song "Troublemaker" from Weezer's Red Album that was released back in 2008. During the show, they also covered songs by Ed Sheeran and Journey.

This isn't the first time they have performed "Troublemaker", but to hear this in 2021 is pretty bad-ass.

Rivers Cuomo has stated the song, along with others fromThe Red Album, were heavily influenced by rapper Eminem and his "fun way of using rhymes."

Hanson has done numerous pay per view live stream concerts during the pandemic. This past weekend's slate of shows, from Cains Ballroom in their hometown of Tulsa, was to benefit Save Our Stages. They sold tickets to Hanson.net fan club members only and tables of four spaced out for social distancing. In between two songs, fans voted on Twitter for which songs the band would perform.

Taylor Hanson has also joined forces with Smashing Pumpkins guitarist James Iha and the late Fountains of Wayne founder Adam Schlesinger for a super group known as Tinted Windows.
