We're off and running after our first big concert of the year over the weekend - Winter Jawn was all sorts of fantasticness. I actually, physically, lost my voice singing along with The Struts and Dashboard Confessional....luckily it just took a one day hiatus and is back to almost 100 percent today for our Radio 104.5 on-air hangs.
Here are my picks for shows worthy of staying up a little (or a lot) past your bedtime for this week in Philly.
Tuesday Jan 30th - a former member of Walk The Moon, Adrian Galvin, is in town with his new project Yoke Lore for a show at Johnny Brenda's. Tix/more info
Orrrrr for a distinctively more rock/guitar experience, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club play Union Transfer Tuesday night (Jan 29th). I saw their last Philly show at The Fillmore a year-ish ago, and it was a doozy. Here's fan shot video from that show to give you an idea of what to expect (from HollowMan1201):
Saturday night February 3rd Enter Shikari plays Union Transfer. Tix/More Info
Here's a band from my hometown of Detroit that's definitely worth checking out: Flint Eastwood. They play Coda Saturday February 3rd. Part Florence and the Machine/ part Banks and seasoned live performers.
What did I miss? What are you looking forward to seeing this week? LMK & I'll see you at the show!
