Nahko and Medicine for the People are in Philly for a show tonight at Festival Pier, part of the Good Vibes Summer Tour 2017, and they came by Radio 104.5 for an acoustic Studio Session performance and conversation...during which we learned some big news.
The new record will be a "solo" album and will be a "prequel" consisting of songs Nahko wrote in his late teens and early twenties. The songs reflect "deep stories of transformation" and "of leaving home," cover topics like "first love" and "coming of age."
He expects it will be released on Friday, October 20th and for the first time revealed the title: My Name Is Bear. He confirmed that the band WILL be playing on the album and the tour for it.
