Sure this is a ridiculous lawsuit, but dude has a point. And let's be honest, NOBODY'S going to have sympathy for the woman who texted incessantly during a movie.
Here's what happened: 37-year-old Brandon Vezmar of Austin, TX meets a woman online...they hit it off...he asks her out...and they decide to take in a movie for their first date: "Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2"
Welp, during the movie, the unnamed date texted "at least 10-20 times in 15 minutes."
He didn't just decide to complain about it to his buddies or on Twitter, nope, he's suing her, for $17.31 (the cost of the movie tickets). Obviously it's not about the money, it's the principle of the whole thing.
The lawsuit states: "While damages sought are modest the principle is important as defendant’s behavior is a threat to civilized society.”
RIGHT ON!
