Food & Wine magazine just put out it's annual list of “Best Pizza Places in the U.S.,” and two of 'em are right here in Philly: Tacconelli’s Pizzeria + Pizzeria Vetri.
They highlight Tacconelli’s tomato pies, saying “Philly pizza institution” hasn’t changed its recipe “since Italian immigrant Giovanni Tacconelli started serving them in 1946.”
Here's what they had to say about Pizzeria Vetri: "Neapolitan pies come with thick, chewy crusts and toppings like prosciutto crudo and roasted fennel.” And the rotolo, are “not to be missed.”
