Surprise! Science says bass player most crucial member of band

The perpetually underappreciated bass player is FINALLY getting some recognition: A new study published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences has found that the bass is the most important part of a song.  

Not only are you more likely to tap your feet to a song with a pronounced bass line,  but your brain also has an easier time finding rhythm when sound is played in a lower a bass.
