Happy 10th B-day Fall Out Boy's "Infinity On High"

Has it been TEN YEARS already?  Fall Out Boy's Infinity On High was released exactly 1 decade ago, today - on February 6th, 2007.  It was their third album, and it debuted at #1 on the sales chart...their first #1. Thematically, it was response to the mega-success they'd experienced thanks to the first two records.

The album opens with Jay-Z  on "Thriller" with the lyrics: “Yeah, what you critics say would never happen/We dedicate this album to anybody people said couldn’t make it/To the fans that held us down til everybody came around/Welcome, it’s here."

When it was released, here were some of the critics initial thoughts:

Entertainment Weekly: "Lo and behold, it turns out these pasty emo boys are a pretty great blue-eyed soul band."

The A.V. Club: "FOB could've cut an album's worth of club hits and still found an audience. Its refusal to do so shows it still knows the difference between selling records and making fans."

Spin: "Infinity on High reveals a group that has grown so confident with success that the members are willing to give in to their every musical whim."

Hey guys, Thnks fr th Mmrs and cheers to 10 years!

You should probably give it a listen this week- or at least watch a couple of videos to celebrate.
