Big news coming in this morning, with the Sixers announcing proposed plans to build a brand new arena in Center City.
76 Place at Market East is being proposed as the site for a $1.3B arena located in the Fashion District on Market & 10th / 11th Streets, with completion by 2031 when the Sixers lease ends at Wells Fargo Center.
Developers are saying they will not be seeking any funding from the city and instead would be privately funded.
Important to note that this not final and is just a proposal from the team at this moment.
