What freakin day down da shore in Sea Isle it was yesterday. While I was sitting here twiddling my thumbs here in Fairmount, The Kelce Brothers and Jordan Mailata were tearing up The OD.
For the second straight year, Jason Kelce guest bartended at The Ocean Drive for his Team 62 benefit event to raise money for the Eagles Autism Foundation. This time he brought along his brother, and star tight end, Travis Kelce as well as o-line mate...and I say mate because he's an Aussie, our beloved left tackle, Jordan Mailata.
The event brought in a giant crowd of birds fans who were ready to chant, booze and hang out with these good dudes who just so happen to be incredible football players.
Of course there was the heartwarming stuff like taking pictures and signing autographs for kids but we're here for the debauchery, let's be honest. It's downing shots with the three. It's people attempting and losing big time in flip cup. It's Mailata off the beers belting out Bon Jovi karaoke making him a true shore bar guy. Changing the lyric from "I'm a Cowboy" to "I'm an Eagle" is just perfect and as if we didn't already know, Jordan Mailata is one of us.
It looked like an incredibly fun time and I now have severe fomo for not being there. But we appreciate Crossing Broad & Barstool Philly for giving us a glimpse into the madness that was The OD yesterday.
