According to the HollywoodReporter.com a biopic based on the final six months of Amy Winehouse's life is in the works.
The film will be derived from the 2010 book Saving Amy by Daphne Barak, in which she pulled from over 40 hours of exclusive footage, photos and notes she had accumulated during a three year period following Amy and her family.
Amy was an iconic voice, with a career that was sadly cut far too short due to the immense pressure and spotlight we tend to shine on artists who quickly rise to stardom. Her struggle to cope with her fame and the tragic spiral that it lead to will make this emotional watch for all.
No word on the title, cast, or release date just yet.
