Anything considered vintage is bound to make a comeback at some point, and that has been the case with vinyl records in recent years. There has been a surge in popularity to collect them again and Amazon knows this.
To get new listeners in touch with the classics, Amazon has launched a new 'Vinyl of the Month" Club that will celebrate the golden era of music from the 1960's and 1970s. For $25 a month, members will receive essential albums from that era like Pink Floyd's The Wall, The Clash's 'London Calling' and others from Led Zeppelin, Aretha Franklin and more.
It's a good concept if you are looking to get started. Don't forget to give love to your local spots too. Checking out a store, feverishly flipping through every section and suddenly stumbling upon records that you have been looking for is what makes it fun!
The Rock Shop in KOP Mall, Creep Records in Northern Liberties and Repo Records on South Street in Philly are the one's I frequent. Give them a try!
