With an unexpected announcement, Daft Punk are calling it quits.
The French duo dropped the cryptic 8-minute long "Epilogue" video below breaking the news. Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo formed the dance pop group back in 1993, dropping their debut album Homework in 1997.
They quickly became one of the most popular groups of their genre, with hits including "One More Time," "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger" and the mega-hit "Get Lucky" featuring Pharrell Williams which helped their 2013 album Random Access Memory sell millions of copies, while bringing in two Grammy awards that year.
Sad news for a trailblazing group in the lane of electronic music, but news that calls for celebration of their long and successful run in the biz.
