Former NFL All-Pro running back Eddie Lacy was arrested Monday (September 30) night in Scottsdale, Arizona, local police confirmed to AZFamily.com.
Lacy, 34, was charged with DUI impaired to the slightest degree, DUI BAC of .08 or more, extreme DUI BAC .15 or more, extreme DUI BAC .20 or more and possession of an open liquor container in vehicle, according to the Scottsdale Police Department. Police received reports of a possible impaired driver and located a vehicle driven by Lacy matching the description, at which point traffic violations "were observed by the officers" who then pulled over the vehicle.
Lacy was selected by the Green Bay Packers at No. 61 overall in the second-round of the 2013 NFL Draft following a decorated collegiate career at the University of Alabama, which included winning three BCS national championships (2009, 2011, 2012) and being selected as a First-team All-SEC running back in 2012. The Louisiana native recorded a career-best 1,178 yards and 11 touchdowns during his first NFL season, winning the 2013 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year Award, while also being selected as a Second-team All-Pro, Pro Bowler and Pro Football Writers of America All-Rookie Team member.
Lacy spent one season with the Seattle Seahawks in 2017 and finished his NFL career with 3,614 yards 23 touchdowns on 857 attempts, as well as 101 receptions for 900 yards and six touchdowns.
