Another Adam Sandler co-star is confirming that a sequel is in the works for "Happy Gilmore" Drew Barrymore broke the news in a preview clip for Friday's episode of her daytime talk show, and said she'd gotten "breaking news" from her source who confirmed "Happy Gilmore 2" is "in process."
Barrymore said she was inspired to ask about the project after actor Christopher McDonald, who played Gilmore's nemesis in the original 1996 comedy, said Sandler had shown him a script for the sequel. Sandler has yet to comment on the reports.
