The Foo Fighters are headed back to Austin City Limits. The band will perform on the upcoming 49th season of the TV series on November 18. The Foos have performed on Austin City Limits twice before and highlights from those shows were also compiled into an hourlong ACL special, which premiered in 2021 in celebration of the band’s 25th anniversary. Austin City Limits airs on PBS, with the new season kicking off October 7th!

Episodes will also be available to stream via PBS.org.

This will be the Foos third taping. The first, in 2008 (premiering in 2009), was at "ACL's" original Austin PBS Studio 6A, and the second in 2014 at ACL Live. The band was scheduled to tape their third appearance in April 2022, but that was canceled after the death of drummer Taylor Hawkins. The 2014 taping (the episode premiered in 2015) was an epic three hours that included special guests Gary Clark Jr. and Jimmie Vaughan.
