The Mighty Mighty BossToneS announce breakup

It was bound to happen someday I suppose: The seminal Boston ska/punk band The Mighty Mighty BossToneS took to social media today, Thursday January 27th, 2022, to announce they're officially breaking up.

Formed back in 1983, they released their debut album 'Devil's Night Out' in 1989, and their eleventh and final album 'When God Was Great' came out just last year. It featured a song called 'The Final Parade' which in retrospect might have been a big clue that today's news wasn't far off.

The band's official breakup statement reads as such:

After decades of brotherhood, touring the world and making great records together, we have decided to no longer continue on as a band.

Above all, we want to express our sincere gratitude to every single one of you who have supported us.

We could not have done any of it without you.

Love Always,

The Mighty Mighty BossToneS
