In person races are back - YES!!!!! Over the course of the last 18 months I've done a couple of virtual races, but to be honest it just wasn't nearly the same feeling or motivation as training for and completing an IRL race - I am SO ready to run my little heart out in an actual in person race, and I'd like to personally invite you to join me in signing up for the 2021 Philadelphia Marathon Weekend November 20th and 21st. The course is beautiful and historic, fast and flat. Sign up now and you'll have almost 5 months to train, which is plenty to get ready for the full 26.2 miles or half, like me, 13.1 miles.
Choose your own adventure (distance):
AACR Philadelphia Marathon
Dietz and Watson Half Marathon - this is the race I just started training for and will be running 13.1 miles through the streets of Philadelphia on Saturday November 20th
Rothman Orthopaedics 8K
Dunkin Munchkin Run (for the kiddos)

I was never a runner. I am a reformed running hater. I started with a 5k fun run a few years back because I just wanted to prove to myself I could do it. And I did. And surprisingly enough, I kinda liked it, so decided to try a 10k next. Then a 10 miler...and then fall of 2019 was my first half marathon.
I run for my health (physical and mental) and fitness. I love to run because all I need are my shoes, my headphones and my music. I love to run because it lets me see the city in ways I never would in my car. I love that basically every run I do doubles as a history lesson in Philadelphia.
You'll find me training on Forbidden Drive, Kelly Drive, MLK Drive, The Manayunk Towpath + bopping around my neighborhood. I still get grumpy about hills, but know the more I tackle them, the better I'll get.
Join me in finding joy in running and accomplishing something you never in a zillion years think you'd be able to do - there's such power in it.
Don't put it off, be brave, commit and let's get to training, together! Sign up with a friend that will keep you motivated and accountable and who will be there to celebrate with you at the finish line - there's no feeling that's quite like it.
Let's gooooooo!
