Death Cab For Cutie Cover TLC's 'Waterfalls' On 'Kimmel': Watch

Death Cab For Cutie played their cover of TLC's "Waterfalls" Tuesday night (January 26) on Jimmy Kimmel Live! The members performed remotely from their respective homes, and their rendition of the iconic hip-hop song is just as you'd expect — a delicate, guitar-based version led by Ben Gibbard's soft vocals.

The cover appears on DCFC's Georgia E.P. — a five-song collection recorded to help raise money for Stacey Abram's Fair Fight Action ahead of Georgia's Senate runoff race. "We created this exclusive e.p. of songs by some of our favorite Georgia artists for our friend Stacey Abrams and all the hard-working people at Fair Fight Action," Gibbard said prior to its release. "We strongly believe in the work Fair Fight has done to assure free and fair elections in Georgia and beyond and have been honored to assist them throughout the 2020 campaign."

The album was originally available for 24 hours via Bandcamp, and raised over $100,000 for the voting rights organization. “Fair Fight is grateful for the support of Death Cab for Cutie in our fight for free and fair elections in Georgia and nationwide," Abrams' wrote in a statement. "‘The Georgia E.P.’ helps tell the story of Georgia just as their contributions have helped us write the next chapter.”

The EP has since been made available everywhere and will be pressed onto peach vinyl. Watch DCFC cover "Waterfalls" and see The Georgia E.P.'s full tracklist below.
