This is a truly fantastic example of the community coming together to really support our front-line health care workers AND our local restaurants and businesses. It's a win-win!
Feed Philly Health Care Workers is a group dedicated to feeding our front line workers through their shifts fighting COVID-19 by partnering with locally owned restaurants they aim to support both through donations and deliveries.
They started with just one delivery and then the response was so great that over the last month they've raised thousands of dollars and been able to serve thousands of meals from well over a dozen local restaurants and food businesses including Pastaficio Deli, Hudson Table, Marinucci’s Deli, West Ave Grille and more. The meals have been delivered to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center Radiology, the lab at Pennsylvania Hospital,Temple University Hospital Jefferson Internal Medicine and more!
If you have the means, making a donation of any kind is a great way to both show your appreciation for the health care workers working their tails off, and you'll help restaurants keep their employees paid and their doors open during these uncertain times. And if you're not in the position to donate, sharing the information is also a very welcomed help.
