As the number of cases and fatalities continue to grow in New Jersey, Governor Phil Murphy announced new measures today to try and lower the spread of COVID-19.
Some of the updates from his briefing today:
- New Jersey's primary election will now be moved to July 7th (moved from June 2)
- The state will begin to limit the amount of people in stores
- Workers AND customers should be wearing masks
Governor Murphy said Wednesday that he will sign an executive order limiting the number of people in stores to 50% of a store's usual capacity. In addition, employees and customers must wear face coverings in stores and must allow special shopping hours for at-risk groups.
