Adam Schlesinger from Fountains of Wayne has died due to COVID-19

Incredibly sad news to share, Variety is reporting that Adam Schlesinger, co-founder of Fountains of Wayne, has passed away due to complications from COVID-19. He was 52 years old.

Earlier this week his lawyer had confirmed in an official statement that he was “very sick and heavily sedated” and that he had been in an upstate New York hospital for more than a week at that time.

Adam was also an Emmy-winning songwriter for “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" winning in the outstanding original music and lyrics category for the song “Antidepressants Are So Not A Big Deal.”

Adam Schlesinger leaves behind two daughters. What a heartbreaking loss.
