Just days after Wawa announced new measures to its in-store operations due to the Coronavirus outbreak (click here), Starbucks has announced new ones this weekend as well.
The coffee company announced that starting immediately, all its stores in the U.S. will transition to a total ‘drive-thru model’ for a minimum for 2 weeks. Previously, the company announced it would still have a ‘to-go model’ where patrons could come in the store and take it to go, but it appears that’s over now.
In a statement to its partners, the president, Rossann Williams, wrote: “The magnitude of managing through this situation is the single biggest challenge many of us have faced in our lifetime, and I am continually moved by your compassion for each other, our customers and our communities during this exceptionally difficult time. With daily news from friends and family members getting laid off and businesses closing, we need one another more than ever.”
