Another event will not go on as planned thanks to the coronavirus, and this time it's the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame induction ceremony! Womp womp.
The ceremony was originally scheduled to take place on May 2nd at Cleveland's public hall seeing bands like Nine Inch Nails and Depeche Mode inducted. Now the event will be postponed Joel Peresman announced. While it's not cancelled altogether, there's no new date firmed up just yet.
“We are very disappointed to announce the postponement of this year’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony,” Peresman says. “Our first concern is to the health and safety of our attendees and artists and we are complying to the direction of the local and state authorities and common sense. We look forward to rescheduling the ceremony and will make that announcement at the earliest convenience.”
Cleveland currently has 5 residents that have tested positive for the virus, so it's always better to be safe than sorry.
