Very sad to share the news that Rush's drummer Neil Peart has died at the age of 67, following a battle with brain cancer, which he had quietly been battling for the last 3 years.
Neil is definitely one of the finest rock drummers to every sit behind the kit and has been a big influence on a lot drummers who have followed him. I've had the pleasure of seeing him live a few times and he was amazing! (Just have a look at his kit in the tweets below!). In addition to his rhythm skills, Neil is credit as the lyricist for many great Rush songs.
Rush stopped touring in 2015. RIP Neil Peart - a true drum and lyric legend.
