Philadelphia Flyers Announce First Ever "Gritty 5K" Run!

How fun is this! The Flyers announced today the first ever “Gritty 5K” coming this October!

It’s set for Sunday, October 13th at 8:30am, and it’ll take place just days after the Flyers home opener. It’ll start at Wells Fargo Center, then travel through the Navy Yard, and then finish outside of Xfinity Live! Plus, it’s only 3 miles - not too bad, right?

There will be Gritty-styled “rest” and “water stops”, while of course he’ll lead the way at the starting line. Runners are also encouraged to dress up for the run as well in their best orange and furry attire! If you’re one of the best dressed, you’ll even get a special prize at the finish line!

Registration for the race opens at 2PM today, August 29, at PhiladelphiaFlyers.com/Gritty5K.
