Is it time to officially cancel the Woodstock 50 celebration? Seriously, I admire their commitment to pulling this thing off, but it seems obvious to everyone (but the organizers) that it's not going to happen..
In the latest blow to the ill-fated festival, the town of Vernon, NY has turned down a permit request for the fourth time, saying the latest permit was filed too late and was filled with problems, including concerns over safety and capacity concerns...with Vernon's Code Enforcement Officer deeming the safety plan 'worthless'. After their original site turned 'em down, Woodstock Organizers have been focused on the Vernon Downs Racetrack and Casino.
As of this writing, I've not seen a comment from organizers, but it looks like your schedule is clear to join us for the Radio 104.5 Summer Block Party at Xfinity Live!
