The saga of Woodstock 50 continues. By now, you've likely heard they lost their investors and then they lost their venue, yet organizers have continued to share public messaging that the show would go on the weekend of August 16-18.
Last word is they may have found a new location, as they've applied for a permit to move the concert to Vernon Dows, a horse racing track, casino and hotel in Vernon, New York. If this location comes through, it appears the event will be much smaller with a capacity for 45,000-50,000 (compared to the 150,000 originally anticipated when the event was initially announced).
Meanwhile, according to Pollstar, Woodstock organizers have lost their appeal over $18.5 million they claimed that former investor Dentsu did not have the right to take.
