Self-Serve Beer Bar Coming To Atlantic City

Sick of standing around a crowded bar to try and get the bartender's attention just to keep having to do it all over again?

WELLL....Atlantic City (or at least one bar in Atlantic City) is looking to change all that with one thing: a self-serve beer bar!

It looks like (pending approval from New Jersey’s Division of Gaming Enforcement) Bally’s Wild Wild West casino on the Boardwalk in Atlantic City will be debuting the new self-serve beer bar come June! This would be the first of it's kind in this region. They say there will be 16 rotating beers on tap too! How does it work? Well, it sounds easy enough. You go to a cashier with proper ID and payment method and they give you a card to use at the machine. You are only charged for what you've consumed at the end of the night.

Will they end up getting approval? I mean things tend to have the ability to get chaotic when alcohol is involved, right? Apparently the machine would always be monitored in some way.

The new machine is being modeled after the Beer Yourself bar in Las Vegas at the LINQ hotel and casino which is also owned by Bally’s.Take a look at video of a guy using it, to see how it all works:
