Woodstock 50 Promoter Says Investor Had No Right To Cancel Event

The Woodstock 50 Festival is setting itself up to be a great documentary on Neflix &/or Hulu! In case you haven't been paying attention, I'll start with quick recap...

Earlier this week, Woodstock financer, Dentsu-Aegis, announced that the anniversary event was canceled. According to their statement, 'we don't believe the production of the festival can be executed as an event worthy of the Woodstock Brand name while also ensuring health and safety of the artists, partners and attendees.'

This was followed by a statement from Festival organizer, Michael Lang, that the festival is still occurring. Now, Lang has followed that up with a newsletter sent to those registered for Woodstock 50 updates saying they are going to make the festival work:

'We have yet to understand why (financer Dentsu-Aegis) would try to prevent the festival from happening by seemingly undermining us in this way; Woodstock never belonged to Dentsu, so they don't have the right to cancel it. Woodstock belongs to the people and it always will. We don't give up and Woodstock 50 will take place and will be a blast'.

Stay tuned, as this sounds like it will get more interesting....
