Did you catch Mumford &Sons at Wells Fargo Center last night?
They put on quite a show for the sold out crowd in South Philly. I particularly loved their stage design which effectively made the arena experience feel more like a Tower Theatre show. I also loved the idea that they were able to fully engage the crowd with their music, rather than relying on a video wall and lighting tricks. As always, Marcus's crowd banter was charming and witty...'we can chat later when I'm not at work.' + he even incorporated a Super Bowl reference! Also, loved the acoustic 'Timshel' with vocals, guitar and banjo all sources from a single microphone. If I had any complaint, it's actually a compliment...the show felt short. Even at approx an hour, forty-five minutes and 19 songs, the crowd seemed so disappointed when the house lights went up and the show was over. Check out the set list and random fan footage below.
