Eddie Vedder inspired Bradley Cooper's performance in 'A Star Is Born'

Philly native Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga's new movie, a remake of "A Star Is Born", is already in the Oscar conversation and it won't even hit the big screen until October 5th. Bradley Cooper, not only acts, but directs the remake of the 1976 film which starred Kris Kristofferson and Barbara Streisand.

To get himself into the right frame of mind for the role, Cooper consulted Pearl Jam's Eddie Vedder for Rock Star tips! Seriously, Cooper tells Yahooo Entertaiment that he and Vedder are now buds and Eddie informed him on some of the nuance of the role. Bradley tells Yahoo, "I went up to Seattle and spent four or five days with him and I asked him 9,000 questions....and he gave me minor, little things that only musicians know about what to do, just aesthetically and the inner workings."

Cooper also added that Vedder initially thought he was crazy for making the movie.
