The legendary, iconic rock band KISS is washing off their makeup after 45 years! Yesterday, KISS announced on NBC’s America’s Got Talent tonight that they are hanging up their 9-inch tall touring boots. while sharing a performance of their classic “Detroit Rock City”. (video below)
The Rock & Roll Hall of Famers who have sold more than 100 million albums and have most likely played every single city on the planet! Now, they're prepping to hit the road one more time for a multi-year END OF THE ROAD WORLD TOUR, which will be announced on KISSonline.com .
With the announcement, KISS said, "All that we have built and all that we have conquered over the past four decades could never have happened without the millions of people worldwide who've filled clubs, arenas and stadiums over those years. This will be the ultimate celebration for those who've seen us and a last chance for those who haven't. KISS Army, we're saying goodbye on our final tour with our biggest show yet and we'll go out the same way we came in... Unapologetic and Unstoppable,"
This band has definitely made their mark on the World...and on me as a young boy. Some of my first and most vivid musical memories were of rocking out to KISS songs and dressing like Peter Criss (their drummer) for Halloween!
