Glass Animals were supposed to be in Philly opening up for Beck next week - and we found out a few days ago that they had to drop off the bill - now we know why: drummer Joe Seaward was in a very serious biking accident and the band has cancelled their entire tour for the rest of 2018.
That's the bad news...the good news is that Joe survived and seems to be on his way to recovery. Glass Animals mastermind/front man Dave Bayley shared an update on Instagram today outlining the gruesome details of an accident...Joe was riding his bike and was hit by a truck in Ireland where he suffered a broken leg and a complex fracture of his skull. He's undergone two surgeries, but has a long way to go before he'll be ready to get back behind the kit.
That's some seriously scary stuff. Please send well wishes/healing vibes and allll the good stuff you got to Joe as he works to get his health back. GET WELL SOON JOE! We'll be ready and waiting for your return - hopefully sooner than later.
