The Shelters Backstage Interview

The Shelterssit down backstage with Josh at our Radio 104.5 11th Birthday Celebration Night 2 before they kick off the entire show on the Main Stage!

Josh calls The Shelters 'The second generation of Tom Petty.' In response, the band says, "It was the best time of our life and we're ever grateful and thankful for it and we miss him a bunch. But we're just carrying on."

The band is hard at work on a new album and has about 25 songs in the works! They want to make sure to take the time to make it right.

They also have the Vintage Vibe Festival at Santa Anita Raceway, Los Angeles on September 15th, 2018. They jokingly explain the festival saying, "Well, the vibes are vintage. People come to vibe vintagely... I think there's kind of an old school element to most of bands on the festival." The lineup also includes: Las Cafeteras, Black Joe Lewis & The Honeybears, Eryn Allen Kane, Low Cut Connie, The Dip, The Explorers Club Dustbowl Revival, The Junglecats, and more!

Thanks to Mealey's Furniture, New Jersey Lottery, and Steaz!
