Seven Mile Island, otherwise known as the area of Stone Harbor & Avalon are soon to be getting more sand. At the end of this month, the "Beach Fill Project" will begin and take about four weeks.
After that plan, it will the move up to the north-end beaches from 9th street to 38th street in Avalon. The fill will be repairing damage from a winter storm last January and back in October of 2015.
