When I dream about a return to live shows (which is basically non-stop), Manchester Orchestra is a band that's at the top of my list to see live again. And when we do finally all get back together in a sweaty concert venue, Manchester Orchestra will have an entire new album's worth of music to share with us.
Overnight, the band announced their new album, The Million Masks Of God, their 6th studio album, is coming on April 30th via Loma Vista, and shared the new song "Bed Head" along with the official video to go along with it. Andy Hull says it's "two old friends existing in two separate realities. It's a conversation about the lives they lived, the consequences of life's decisions, and finding purpose in trying to be better."
Press play on "Bed Head," below, and if you're like me, you'll have it on repeat for the rest of the day (errr....week....month...)
Welcome back, Manchester Orchestra!
Last week the band premiered their concert film for A Black Mile To The Surface, playing the album start to finish, as a way to close the chapter on that era and set the table for this new album and all that's to come. The concert film was visually and aurally stunning and it's available to watch on demand for free HERE
