Lollapalooza announces virtual 2020 festival lineup

Lollapalooza just announced a virtual festival lineup for this (extended) weekend, an impressive four-night web-stream kicking off this Thursday night, during the original dates the festival would have been taking place in Chicago this summer: Thursday July 30th- Sunday August 2nd. Best part? It's free! It's an impressive list of 150 performances including archival footage of: Arcade Fire, Jane's Addiction, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, LCD Soundsystem, The Cure, Sir Paul McCartney, Portugal. The Man, The Struts, Tom Morello, Alabama Shakes and over a hundred other performers.

Lolla2020 will also feature new original live performances from The Neighbourhood, Yungblud and others...plus a Porno for Pyros reunion.

Personally, I'm really excited about this one - I attended a BUNCH of Lollapaloozas over the last 20 years or so, it will be fun to relive some of these performances...YYY's stepping in as headliners in '09, helicopters circling when Jane's Addiction headlined in '09....seeing a Beatle live for the first time with Sir Paul McCartney in 2015...definitely looking forward to the virtual musical trip down memory lane. Might even have to go dig through my Facebook and Myspace archives (if I can still access them) for pictures!
